Noch mal vielen Dank fuer die Info-Quellen. Mit deren Hilfe habe ich jetzt auch die Bestaetigung aus KTM von socialtours.

The ban on Solo Trekking was an issue that was announced by TAAN some time ago... Since then, there was a huge hue and cry about this and at this moment, the government has stayed the ban on solo trekking... So for the moment again, its allowed.

The case of Langtang Region is as your forum post mentioned, regional. There have been more cases of robbery on this route recently and there was a rather mysterious murder as well, where there was no robbery at all. This is the trigger that has resulted in the debate of whether to allow SOLO trekking in Nepal at all or not.

Regardless, at the moment, its possible to SOLO trek!
