Avoid this trekking company: Yala Adventures !

Recently, I returned from a long awaited second trip to Nepal, to climb Mera Peak and cross Amphu Laptsa. I had paid 1800 US for an 18 day trek/climb. I had wonderful porters, and a cook who literally saved my life on 3 different occasions, but the climbing leader/guide was drunk (morning and night), wanting to come into my tent at night, borrowing money from me, and yelling at me. I was also given faulty equipment (crampons that did not fiit, cracked boots). I returned after 8 days because I literally feared for my life.
The real disappointment came when the trekking company, Yala Adventure, and its team leader, Yadu Lamichhame, stated that because they did not make a profit off my booking and that the guide had not returned the money, they could only refund me 175.00. Yadu said it would be "easier" for him if I was given a "city tour of Kathmandu" instead of a refund.
